Barbed Wire and Field Fence Solution
Barbed wire and woven-wire fences have traditionally been used for cattle. Four- or five-strand barbed wire fences are adequate for cattle. Heavyweight and extra-heavyweight woven-wire fences with one or more strands of barbed wire above the fence are excellent for cattle. Fence height should be at least 39 inches.
Fence Panel Solution
Heavy wire panel fences are highly recommended for cattle-handling facilities. Fence height should be at least 50 inches to prevent escape. Fences should also be clearly visible to reduce stress on the animal and to enhance movement through the facility.
